The hackathon is open to students and recent graduates (within 2 years). Teams of 3–5; solo participants can find teammates in our Discord. No insurance background needed — just bring your skills and creativity.

Gamify the multi-client experience in QIC AppTurn QIC
Design and prototype an AI-powered gamified feature that improves customer journeys, drives engagement, and builds retention
Turn QIC Ecosystem into your lifestyle co-pilot
Create a digital city service for Doha that integrates into everyday life, helping residents and visitors manage their needs seamlessly
Projects will be judged based on innovation, usability, technical execution, and relevance to the MENA digital landscape
What You’ll Be Working On
Participants will pick one of the following challenge tracks:
Innovating Customer Journeys: AI and Gamification in the SuperApp
The challenge will be to design and prototype an AI-powered gamified feature for the QIC SuperApp that enhances customer journeys, drives engagement, and strengthens retention
Transforming QIC City into Your Lifestyle Co-Pilot
Сreate a digital city service for Doha that integrates into everyday life, helping residents and visitors seamlessly manage their needs
Each project will be judged based on innovation, usability, technical execution, and relevance to the MENA digital landscape.

Problem Deep Dive
Kick off the hackathon with live sessions introducing challenge tracks, tools, and business context from QIC. Gain practical knowledge of insurance products and user challenges.
Hackathon Days (Online)
Teams work intensively on research, design, prototyping, and testing — with mentors available for guidance throughout the week.
Midpoint Video Presentations & Task Validation
All teams submit their results and deliver short video presentations. The jury reviews progress, provides feedback, and selects the finalists who will advance to the Grand Finale.
Final Preparation for Selected Teams
Finalist teams refine their prototypes, polish UX, and prepare final demos with mentor support.
Grand Finale: Demos & Awards Ceremony (Offline in Doha)
Top teams pitch live to the jury, showcase their solutions, and compete for prizes and career opportunities.

Absolutely! You don’t need prior knowledge of insurance to join. The first days of the hackathon will be dedicated to immersive sessions on QIC’s business and products, where you’ll gain practical knowledge directly from experts. Mentors will guide you along the way — your role is to bring fresh ideas, creativity, and digital skills to the team.
Join our official Discord channel — there’s a dedicated space for team matching. You can introduce yourself, share your skills, and connect with others who are also looking for teammates.
Teams should have 3–5 participants.
Build a balanced team. Designers to shape the experience, product managers to define the vision, marketing specialists to bring user focus, developers to build fast, and AI engineer to power innovation.
Not for everyone. Coding skills are useful, but this year’s themes are focused more on user experience and innovative ideas, so non-technical roles are equally important.
Your laptop, charger, and any tools you need to demo your project. We’ll provide workspace, Wi-Fi, food, and coffee.
Yes. We’ve partnered with several universities in Doha to provide spaces where teams can meet, collaborate, and work on their projects together.
Judging criteria will be announced in the official document shared before the hackathon.
There are no restrictions, but the focus is on how you apply AI in your solution.
Cash prizes for the top 3 teams, plus opportunities to join QIC digital hub as an intern or in a junior role.
Yes. Experienced mentors will support participants during the hackathon — helping with ideas, product design, development, and presentation preparation.
